U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack came to the Port of Long Beach on March 16 to highlight the benefits of growing agricultural trade, thanks to the record-breaking productivity of America's farmers and ranchers.
Welcomed by Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster, Vilsack also met with Port officials and provided an overview of the federal government's efforts to increase exports and work out trade agreements, such as the U.S.-Korea Trade Agreement.
Vilsack was joined by California agriculture leaders including grower A.G. Kawamura and food product exporter Tony LoBue. To see the U.S. Department of Agriculture news release, click here.
