Port Hosting Forecast on March 31

The Port will host its annual industry forecast event, "Pulse of the Ports," March 31 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Long Beach.
As the economy shows signs of recovery from the sharp recession, top industry experts from throughout the supply chain will offer their timely views on the global economic outlook, and their forecast for the maritime, shipping and retail industries.
The speakers this year include: Dr. Joseph Magaddino, Chair of the Department of Economics at California State University Long Beach; Jeff Siewert, Director of International Logistics for Home Depot; Wolfgang Freese, President of Hapag-Lloyd America; Peter Peyton, President ILWU Local 63; Frank Capo, VP of Customer Service and Sales for Total Terminals International; Fred Malesa, VP of International Intermodal for BNSF Railway; and Matt Schrap, Director of Environmental Affairs for the California Trucking Association.
