Port Wins Prestigious Dan Maynard Award

The Port of Long Beach has won the prestigious Dan Maynard Award for Excellence in Communications from the American Association of Port Authorities for a second year in a row.
Every year, the Dan Maynard is presented to the AAPA member seaport with the best overall communications program. This year, the Port of Long Beach won excellence awards in the categories of advertisement, social media and photography as well as recognition and merit in several other categories including periodicals and video. The AAPA's awards programs recognize the best practices in the port industry across five disciplines: Communications, Environmental Improvement, Information Technology, Facilities Engineering, and Cruise. Founded in 1912, the AAPA is a trade association that represents more than 130 public port authorities in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America.
