Colonna, Lowenthal Confirmed for Commission

  • The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners elected Lou Anne Bynum as its new Board President and Tracy Egoscue as Vice President on Monday, July 24, in the annual selection of Board Officers. Former Board President Lori Ann Guzmán was selected as Secretary of the Board. Read more
  • Earlier this month, the 3.1-million-pound orange MSS (Movable Scaffolding System) was lowered to the ground after completing the WB approach on the west side of the Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement Project. Since its start in December 2015, the orange MSS helped build more than 3,000 feet of the roadway drivers will eventually use as they pass over the bridge from downtown Long Beach toward Terminal Island and San Pedro.   • Sam JoumblatSam Joumblat, the Chief Financial Officer of Total Transportation Services Inc., is returning to the Port as Managing Director of Finance and Administration. The key financial position manages an annual budget of $750 million and this decade's $4 billion, 10-year capital improvement program — the largest of any seaport in the nation. Joumblat’s last stint at the Port was from 2006 to 2014, as Chief Financial Officer.
