National Truck Driver Appreciation Month events

Thank You to Port Truck Drivers

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week was Sept. 11-17, and here at the Port of Long Beach, companies celebrated the thousands of drivers who deliver goods to and from the Port to local and far-flung destinations.

In this video, we stop by a barbecue for the drivers for The Dependable Companies, and then take a look at a Long Beach City College 14-week training course for new truck drivers. The Port helps LBCC support the class, working with the Harbor Trucking Association and other Port partners to connect the school with new students.

Thanks again to the hard-working drivers who are a vital link in the Port of Long Beach supply chain.
