  • Louis GutierrezAttorney and veteran human resources executive Louis Gutierrez has joined the Port of Long Beach as its new Managing Director of Human Resources and Team Development. Gutierrez will lead a new bureau that oversees the recruitment, hiring and training of Port staff. Read more

The Port’s five overseas representatives are Strang International Pty. Ltd., Lutz Ehrhardt, Kazuhiko Futagawa, Sebang Express Co. Ltd., and United Transportation (HK) Ltd.
  • Bynum and DrummondThe Long Beach City Council earlier this month confirmed the appointments of Long Beach City College executive Lou Anne Bynum and former City Councilman Doug Drummond to second terms on the Board of Harbor Commissioners. Mayor Robert Garcia announced the reappointments last month. Read more
  • The Port of Long Beach has adopted a new sponsorship policy that streamlines the process for organizations seeking funding for community functions and events.
